The scents and the sights, coming soon
Allow time to enjoy
We recommend spending 1 to 2 hours to fully enjoy the farm with lots to see and discover. Many guests often spend half a day exploring every relaxing corner of our farm and gardens.
Stimulate your senses
Complete your sensory experience by smelling, tasting, and feeling our farm-made lavender products. Discover how our products are made and chat with our friendly team to learn more.
What to bring
The farm is most enjoyable in dry conditions, so dress for the occasion. Covered shoes, sunscreen, and a hat are always recommended.
Crafted by hand, built from the ground up
Zero waste philosophy
Nothing goes to waste. What we don’t use in our lavender oils, balms or soaps is dried, composted, or repurposed. This commitment is central to how we farm.
Grown by hand
We hand-weed our rows and pick with care - not because it’s easy, but because it’s better. Slower, yes. More connected, absolutely.
Purposeful planting
Our fields don’t just look beautiful. They are a source of scent, healing and joy in every product we make. The herbs you’ll smell in the paddocks might soon be in a tea, balm, or candle.
Visit us in every season
Spring (September – November)
Spring in the Toowoomba Region is buzzing with life, especially with the Carnival of Flowers. At Back Paddock Botanical, the weather warms, the first hints of purple start to emerge, and the air turns sweet with possibility. It’s an ideal time to explore the grounds and enjoy a gentle reawakening alongside the season. Our first open day will be announced for spring.
Summer (December – February)
Summer is peak lavender season. The paddocks burst into full purple bloom, with rows of flowering lavender stretching out beneath the sun. From late November through January, the air is fragrant, the views are stunning, and the herb garden is alive with flavour. This is the season to slowdown and wander.
Autumn (March – May)
Early autumn still holds onto summer’s colour, with lavender lingering in bloom. As the weather cools, our young deciduous trees begin their show, turning shades of gold, red and amber. It’s a quieter time to visit, full of soft light, warm days, and the first hints of seasonal change.
Winter (June – August)
Lavender may rest in winter, but the beauty here doesn’t fade. Crisp country air, quiet paddocks, and wide, open skies offer a different kind of magic. While the plants lie dormant, we still accept bookings so you can enjoy the peace of the slower season.
