Picnic and Posy as part of the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers
On Sunday the 27th of September, 2026, join us with your picnic rug, your favourite people and settle in for a relaxed session of live music, lawn games and the simple pleasure of being outdoors. Note: our lavender blooms in December, so the plants will be green.
Picnic and Posy
The Picnic and Posy event will run on Sunday the 27th of September, 2026, with two sessions available:
Morning: 9:00am – 12:00pm
Afternoon: 2:00pm – 5:00pm
$5 entry per person, free for children under 5.
Each session is limited to 200 guests to keep the experience relaxed and spacious.
Please note: our lavender blooms in December so the plants will be green and picking will not be available.
What to expect
Come as you are, stay as long as you like within your chosen session.
Bring a rug, bring your friends, and make yourself at home in the paddock.
We've organised:
- Live acoustic music across both sessions.
- Food and drink options, although BYO is completely fine.
- A collection of classic lawn games (cornhole, croquet, giant Jenga, Connect 4 and more).
- Space to relax, unwind, and soak up the spring sunshine.
Pick your own posy
Wander through the fields and create your own posy of pink and white paper daisies. Note: our lavender will not be in bloom yet. Posies will be available to purchase on the day. As always with farming, flower availability is subject to the season and what Mother Nature provides.
Live music
We've booked Queensland musicians to entertain and bring a relaxed mood to each session.
- Morning Session: Shanleigh Rose Music
- Afternoon Session: Clayton Jay Music

A few things to know
Back Paddock Botanical is a working farm, not a manicured venue. The ground may be uneven, conditions may vary, and the beauty of the day will always be shaped by the season. We keep things simple, relaxed, and real, just as they should be.
Back Paddock Botanical
We'll also have a selection of our handmade products available for purchase on the day, so that you can take away a piece of the farm with you.
Book in for Picnic and Posy
Choose your session, gather your people, and spend a spring day in the paddock. Tickets are limited to 200 per session, so we recommend booking early. Tickets just $5 per person, with children under 5 free.
